Yellow Brick Road is a supposed upcoming animated musical film produced by Leigh Scott, director and producer of the 2012 film Dorothy and the Witches of Oz.
The film is to be written and directed by Angelo Thomas and the story featuring an adult Dorothy Gale and Oscar Diggs, the former Wizard of Oz, as they return to Oz to face the mysterious Betsy Bobbin. Other characters who are stated appear include Glinda, Aunt Em, General Jinjur, Locasta, Tik-Tok, Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion.
The project is possibly cancelled or being reworked extensively as links to social media websites related to the film were taken down. For some reason, the IDMb placeholder says that it was released on August 26th, 2022 but this seems to be erroneous.
One post in 2015 on the website Animator Island is still up entitled Three Lessons from the Filmmaking Trenches which notes artwork was being made by Tally Todd.
Wiki Notice: This page initially had some exclusive information added to and then removed by Angelo Thomas himself. A reported full cast listing was removed because he had noted: The cast is no longer attached to this project. Also, character art and a poster created were removed because they were not intended for viewing by the general public.
The status of this project is unclear but he has recently announced his first feature film The Incredible Jake Parker in 2020 and he was slated to have voiced a Crow in the yet to be released L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
