The Wise Donkey is a former citizen of the Land of Mo who often advised the King. He now lives in the Munchkin Country of Oz with the Foolish Owl.
Description[]
The Wise Donkey has a deep bass voice which seems bigger than he is. He has light-brown fur and wears a blue apron and cap when he cleans. He and his partner, the Foolish Owl, advertise themselves as Public Advisers.
History[]
He was once a very foolish donkey, but was accidently locked in a school-house on a Friday afternoon. By Monday morning he had devoured the entire school library and after digesting all that knowledge was very wise indeed. (The Magical Monarch of Mo)
He visited the Land of Oz on the day Glinda cast her spell of protection which cut Oz off from the rest of the world. Now the Wise Donkey is unable to return home to Mo.
Ojo, the Patchwork Girl, and the Glass Cat stopped at their office and the Wise Donkey gave them directions to the Yellow Brick Road. (The Patchwork Girl of Oz)
