Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West is a popular non-canonical prequel to the Oz series. The novel was written by Gregory Maguire and it tells the story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. It has been turned into a very successful Broadway musical called simply Wicked.
Wicked is the first book in a trilogy titled The Wicked Years. The three books of the trilogy are:
- Wicked (1995)
- Son of a Witch (2005)
- A Lion Among Men (2008).
