Twinkle is a maid in the household of the Queen of Merryland. Like all the residents of the Fourth Valley she is a doll. She's pleasant looking, neatly dressed, and her eyebrows and hair are painted upon her head. She was named Twinkle because she steps quickly and softly like the twinkling of a star, and because her eyes are so bright and sparkling. (Dot and Tot of Merryland)
