The Living House of Oz is a modern Oz novel, written by Edward Einhorn and first published by Hungry Tiger Press in 2005. It is Einhorn's second Oz book, after Paradox in Oz (1999); the second book, like the first, is illustrated by Eric Shanower.
Einhorn's protagonist is a Munchkin boy named Buddy. His mother is a clandestine magic worker; she keeps her enchantments secret to circumvent Ozma's ban on magic-working. (Cleverly, one of her spells keeps her other spells hidden from Glinda's Great Book of Records.) The house in which Buddy and his mother live contains the results of her magic: everything within is alive.
