The Lookout was a strange Nome, who had the power to see many things. His eyes went in different directions, but were somehow bright and penetrating. He could see over a hill or around a corner. He saw the coming of Prince Inga's party before the Long-Eared Hearer could hear them. (Rinkitink in Oz)
