Jak Horner is the leader of the Horners.
Description[]
Like all his people, Jak is short and round and has a single horn in the center of his forehead. Above his horn he wears a jeweled star in his hair to indicate his rank as chief. He is very jolly and enjoys a good joke.
The chief has nineteen daughters, ranging from a tiny child to almost a grown woman. All are neatly dressed in spotless white robes with brown skin and horn on their heads like all the other Horners. The daughters are being raised to be ladylike and proper, according to the rules set out in a book by a leading bachelor. (The Patchwork Girl of Oz)
