The Gleaming Glade is found in the Paradise of Birds.

It is located in a grove of golden trees, so dense that birds can only pass one at a time between the closely-spaced trunks. Within is a circular space, with a floor of polished gold, as reflective as a mirror. The inward-facing tree trunks are engraved with attractive designs and inlaid with diamonds. The leaves of the trees are of burnished silver, and cast myriad reflections.

Each morning, after bathing in the Lustrous Lake nearby, the King Bird of Paradise and his nobility come to the Gleaming Glade to perform their Beauty Dance while their feathers dry. The females, with their modest brown plumage, do not participate in the dance; instead they play in the orchestra that provides the music. (Policeman Bluejay)
