Lady Aurex is a Skeezer courtier in Queen Coo-ee-oh's court; a very pretty girl who appears to be about 20. She explains to Ozma that she fears talking because Queen Coo-ee-oh's magic allows her to hear even the slightest whisper said anywhere in the city. After Ozma creates an eavesdropping safe environment, Aurex explains the terrible things that have happened on Skeezer Island and why the Skeezers are so unhappy. After Queen Coo-ee-oh is transformed into a Diamond Swan, Ozma appoints Aurex as the new Queen, and she appoints Ervic as her Prime Minister.
Lady Aurex later makes a cameo appearance towards the end of The Magical Mimics in Oz, being invited to a party celebrating Princess Ozana and her victory over the dreaded Mimics of Oz.
